59th Jamhuri day – At His Excellency Ambassador Shidiye

On 1 December 2022, we graced an invitation from His Excellency Ambassador Shidiye to celebrate our 59thJamhuri day at His residence.
A great evening mingling as Kenyans in the diaspora. Tuendele. Kwa sababu – “Umoja ni Nguvu”
Some great news and messages were shared like the plan in place being discussed to resume flights by KQ from Botswana to Kenya. More will be shared in due cause. His Excellency Ambassador Shidiye also thanked the Kenyans in Botswana for being “Kenyans of good quality” raising the bar in the Diaspora sphere. His Excellency asked Kenyans to share with us any ideas to strengthen the Diaspora as we have a new department in the Government in charge of Diaspora affairs. We are the “48th” county. He urged Kenyans to share with/through KEBODIA their views on what we think the Diaspora needs. This will then be shared with the High commission and tabled to the Diaspora department back home.
