KEBODIA – Kenya Botswana Diaspora Association

“Bringing together Kenyans living in Botswana through networking and interchanging”

Welcome to Kenya Botswana Diaspora Association

This is the Association of Kenyans living in Botswana as well as those who have since relocated back home.

We thank our host country Botswana for our residency in the country and the cordial bilateral relations between our two countries. Kenyans have lived in Botswana since the late seventies and we are happy to note that some of those early trailblazers are still in the country and have helped many of us to integrate with the local community. Apart from Gaborone, Kenyans now live and work in major towns in Botswana such as Francistown, Palapye, Maun, Kasane, Lobatse, Molepolole, Mahalapye, Serowe,Kanye, Phikwe,  and many others. Our association, KEBODIA, has united Kenyans in all these locations and we even have Kenyans who have shown interest in joining our association from neighbouring countries such as South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Word from our Chairman

Greetings to you all!

My sincere gratitude to all of you who have given my team and I the opportunity to serve the Kenyan community in Botswana. Because of your unwavering support, our Association, KEBODIA, is now one of the most recognizable  Kenyan Diaspora associations.   I would like to thank my predecessor and founder chairman of Kebodia, Dr. Nelson  Mwaniki, for laying a strong foundation upon which we have built one success after another.  KEBODIA  is destined for greater things and I’m hopeful that its present and future leaders will be leaders of vision, action and progress.  We appreciate the strong support and guidance we have received from our high commissioner to Botswana, Ambassador  Mohammed  Shidiye, and we equally appreciate the warm welcome that Batswana and the government of Botswana have given  Kenyans in this country.  Let’s continue to be united, focused, God-fearing and supportive of one another.
